Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 2 small cans tomato soup
  • 1 cup instant rice
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 1 onion
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Chop half of the cabbage and place it in a medium roaster pan.
  2. In a skillet, cook the hamburger until browned, then add chopped onion, green pepper, salt, and pepper; cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Spread the cooked hamburger mixture evenly over the chopped cabbage in the pan.
  4. Add the instant rice over the meat and vegetables.
  5. Top with the remaining chopped cabbage.
  6. Mix the tomato soup with a little water or use as is, then pour it evenly over the layered ingredients.
  7. Cover the pan with foil or a lid and bake at 350°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
