Ingredients

  • 7 small squash, coarsely chopped
  • 2 small onions, chopped
  • 1/8 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 3 canned tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted margarine

Instructions

  1. Cook squash, onions, garlic salt, pepper, and brown sugar in a small amount of salted water in a saucepan until the squash is tender; drain.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes and mix well.
  3. Spoon the mixture into a casserole dish.
  4. Sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese.
  5. Combine melted margarine with bread crumbs and sprinkle over the top.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
