Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked squash
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup hot milk
  • pinch of allspice

Instructions

  1. Mix cooked squash, chopped nuts, sugar, eggs, butter, ginger, cinnamon, hot milk, and allspice well in a bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into an 8 to 9-inch pie crust.
  3. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
  4. Lower the oven temperature to 325°F and bake for an additional 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Serve hot or cold, optionally topped with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
