Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cloves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups grated raw carrots
  • 1 1/2 cups grated raw potatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 1/2 cups seeded raisins

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly oil a 1 1/2-quart mold.
  2. Sift flour with soda, sugar, salt, and spices.
  3. Gradually stir melted butter into eggs in a large bowl.
  4. Then stir in the flour mixture and remaining ingredients; mix well.
  5. Turn the mixture into the prepared mold.
  6. Steam the pudding for about 60 minutes or until cooked through.
