Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 cup green onion
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Cut the French bread in half and toast at 375°F for 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Brown the ground beef with green onion in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  4. Mix in milk, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt.
  5. Heat the mixture until warmed through, but do not boil.
  6. Spread the beef mixture onto the toasted bread halves.
  7. Top with shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, and green pepper if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.
