Ingredients

  • 8 Tbsp. flour
  • 6 lb. sirloin or round steak
  • 16 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 cans tomato soup
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 4 lb. sliced mushrooms
  • 12 c. hot cooked rice or noodles
  • 8 tsp. salt
  • 4 medium onions
  • 4 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. bouillon

Instructions

  1. Mix flour and salt. Sprinkle the meat, cut into bite-sized strips, with the flour mixture.
  2. Melt butter in a large skillet.
  3. Add onions and garlic; cook until tender but not brown.
  4. Remove onions and garlic from the skillet.
  5. Brown the seasoned meat well in the skillet.
  6. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until tender.
  7. Stir in tomato soup, Tabasco sauce, and bouillon; bring to a simmer.
  8. Return onions and garlic to the skillet and cook for a few minutes.
  9. Stir in sour cream and heat through, but do not boil.
  10. Serve hot over hot cooked rice or noodles.
