Ingredients

  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1 medium white onion, chopped
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled, cooked, and chopped
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Saute green onions, white onion, and celery in melted butter.
  2. Add crabmeat, stirring constantly.
  3. Add bread crumbs, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice, then stir.
  4. Add chopped shrimp and beaten egg to the mixture.
  5. If the mixture is too loose, add more bread crumbs.
  6. Do not cover the mixture during preparation.
  7. Serve in individual ramekins garnished with a lemon wedge or use as stuffing for shrimp or fish.
  8. Freeze in patties and thaw as needed.
