Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3/4 cup chopped celery
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 3/4 can evaporated milk
  • 4 eggs
  • bread crumbs as needed
  • salt
  • red pepper

Instructions

  1. Saute chopped onion and celery in butter.
  2. Add crab meat to the sauteed vegetables.
  3. Pour in evaporated milk and add well beaten eggs.
  4. Cook the mixture over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  5. Add bread crumbs gradually until the desired thickness is reached.
  6. Season with salt, red pepper, parsley flakes, and green onion rings.
  7. Place the mixture in artificial crab shells or baking dishes.
  8. Sprinkle with dry bread crumbs and bake at 375°F until hot.
