Ingredients

  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped bell pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. chopped celery
  • 3/4 c. crab meat
  • 9 Tbsp. chopped shrimp
  • 5 slices bread
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Add salt, pepper, and red pepper to frog legs to taste.
  2. Soak frog legs in buttermilk for 8 hours.
  3. Saute chopped onion, bell pepper, and celery in butter until soft.
  4. Add crab meat and chopped shrimp and cook.
  5. Add crumbled bread soaked in milk to the mixture.
  6. Stir in seasoning.
  7. Slit frog legs and put a large spoonful of stuffing in the middle of each.
  8. Dip stuffed frog legs in beaten eggs and roll in corn flour.
  9. Fry until golden brown.
  10. Tie each frog leg with cotton string to keep stuffing inside.
