Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped dates
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 c. chopped prunes
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Boil dates, prunes, raisins, and water for 5 minutes.
  2. Add margarine and salt to the boiled mixture.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Add beaten eggs, vanilla, soda, flour, and chopped nuts to the cooled mixture.
  5. Pour into an 11 x 7-inch pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
