- Sift together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cream the butter and sugar until smooth, then add the eggs and beat well.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
- Fold in the cooked and chopped prunes.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Pour glaze over the hot cake and serve.
