Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • chili powder to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • 1 (17 oz.) can refried beans
  • 2 (4 oz.) cans green chilies, chopped
  • 3 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (7 oz.) green taco sauce
  • 1 1/2 bunches green onions, chopped
  • 1 (4 1/2 oz.) can black olives, chopped
  • 8 oz. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground chuck in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and season with salt, pepper, chili powder, and garlic powder; cook until onion is tender.
  3. Stir in refried beans and chopped green chilies; mix well.
  4. Pat the mixture into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan, spreading evenly.
  5. Sprinkle grated Cheddar cheese over the top and drizzle with green taco sauce.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Remove from oven and top with chopped black olives, green onions, and dollops of sour cream.
  8. Serve hot with taco chips.
