Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (6 oz.) package Martha White buttermilk cornbread mix, prepared and crumbled
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish or pan.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet; sauté onion and celery until tender.
  4. Pour the sautéed mixture into a mixing bowl.
  5. Add the prepared cornbread, chicken broth, beaten eggs, poultry seasoning, and pepper; blend well.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until browned.
