Ingredients

  • 1 large chopped cabbage
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt

Instructions

  1. Place layers of chopped cabbage and sliced onion in a large bowl.
  2. Top the layered cabbage and onion with 1 cup of sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl or container, mix together vinegar, oil, salt, and celery salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the vinaigrette over the layered cabbage and onion.
  5. Toss gently to combine and let sit for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
