Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon chicken-flavored instant bouillon
  • 2 cups cubed cooked turkey or chicken
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
  • 1 can French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Bake the unbaked pastry shell for 8 minutes, then remove from oven.
  2. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss shredded Swiss cheese with flour and chicken-flavored instant bouillon.
  4. Add cubed cooked turkey or chicken, milk, well beaten eggs, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and chopped pimiento to the bowl.
  5. Mix well until combined.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared pastry shell.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until set, topping with French fried onions during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  8. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  9. Refrigerate leftovers.
