Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. butter
  • 3 c. syrup
  • 4 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 7 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 c. hot water

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix butter and eggs; add syrup.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Add dry ingredients.
  4. Add raisins.
  5. Pour in very hot water and stir well.
  6. Drop from a spoon onto a well-greased cookie sheet and bake at 400° until done.
