Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheese
  • 1 cup uncooked fine noodles
  • 1 can Mexicorn or plain corn
  • salt
  • pepper
  • oregano
  • thyme
  • basil

Instructions

  1. Brown the chopped onion in shortening, then add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  2. Stir in the tomato soup and water, bringing to a simmer.
  3. Add the uncooked noodles and cook until tender.
  4. Season with salt, black pepper, oregano, thyme, and basil to taste.
  5. Drain the corn and stir it into the casserole before serving.
