Ingredients

  • 5 lb. ground beef (85% lean)
  • 4 oz. ketchup
  • 3 heaping tsp. prepared mustard
  • 3 heaping tsp. cream-style horseradish
  • 3 level tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 heaping tsp. salt
  • 1 cup finely ground onions
  • 1 heaping tsp. Accent
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Place ground beef in a kettle.
  2. Combine ketchup, mustard, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and salt in a 1-cup measuring cup.
  3. Stir the mixture into the beef.
  4. Fill the same cup with warm water and add to the meat mixture.
  5. Use the same cup to measure ground onions; add to the meat mixture.
  6. Stir in Accent and cook on low heat, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes or until the meat is in fine pieces.
  7. Increase heat slowly until the mixture boils.
  8. Boil for 25 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent sticking.
