Tasty Cheese Ball

A creamy, smoky cheese ball with dried beef and chopped vegetables, perfect for entertaining, served with crackers, and easily prepared ahead for a delightful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 8 oz. Cheddar cold pack smoky cheese food
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp. chopped onion
  • 2 tsp. chopped green pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dried beef

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese, Cheddar cold pack, and butter together until blended.
  2. Add the chopped onion, green pepper (if desired), Worcestershire sauce, and chopped dried beef.
  3. Mix well; refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  4. Shape into one or two balls and roll in chopped pecans.
  5. Wrap in Handi-Wrap, then foil.
  6. Chill. May be made several days ahead of serving.
  7. Serve with crackers.
