Kidney Bean Dinner

A hearty kidney bean and ground beef stew with tomatoes and spices, perfect for a comforting family dinner or casual gathering, rich in flavor and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 (No. 2) can red kidney beans
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (No. 2) can tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 c. tomato soup

Instructions

  1. Mix the kidney beans and tomatoes together.
  2. Simmer the bean and tomato mixture.
  3. Put 1/4 tablespoon margarine, butter, or lard in a skillet.
  4. Add ground beef and chopped onions; cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
  5. Add water and cover the skillet.
  6. Add finely chopped green pepper to the beans and tomatoes.
  7. Add the browned meat and onions back into the mixture.
  8. Simmer everything for half an hour.
  9. Add tomato soup and stir well before serving.
