Ingredients

  • 1 can sliced black olives
  • 1 package taco flavoring (mild) mix
  • 1 pound ground turkey or hamburger
  • 1 can (16 oz.) fat-free refried beans
  • 1 to 2 cups mild salsa
  • 1 cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 3 to 5 green onions, chopped
  • 2 to 4 jalapeno peppers, sliced (remove seeds)
  • green olives (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground meat in a skillet, then drain and rinse in a colander to reduce fat.
  2. Return the meat to the skillet and add the taco flavoring mix.
  3. Follow the instructions on the taco flavoring package.
  4. Set aside and let the meat mixture cool before assembling the dip.
