Thanksgiving Dressing

A savory and flavorful Thanksgiving stuffing with tender chicken, aromatic celery and onion, seasoned with poultry seasoning and baked to perfection, ideal for holiday feasts.

Ingredients

  • 2 pans of day old bread
  • 1 bunch chopped celery
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cooked and cut-up chicken
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 6 slightly beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Put day old bread slices on cake pans in oven at 250°F until slices are browned.
  2. After cooled, soak browned slices a few seconds in water.
  3. Squeeze out water well and gently.
  4. Put bread in a large bowl.
  5. Brown chopped celery, onion, and butter together. Add this mixture to the bread.
  6. Fold in cooked and cut-up chicken.
  7. Add pepper, poultry seasoning, salt, and beaten eggs to the mixture.
  8. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  9. Stuff turkey with part of the dressing and place the rest in a 10 x 7-inch baking dish.
  10. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 45 minutes.
