Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 3 medium onions, chopped
  • 3 medium bell peppers, chopped
  • 2 cups white cream-style corn
  • 1 1/2 cups tomatoes
  • 1 cup ripe olives and juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) package noodles
  • 1 lb. sharp cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Saute hamburger in a small amount of vegetable oil until browned.
  2. Add chopped onions and bell peppers; cook until almost done.
  3. Add white cream-style corn, tomatoes, ripe olives with juice, salt, sugar, and chili powder.
  4. Cook the mixture for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
  6. Add cooked noodles and grated cheese to the meat sauce and mix well.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  8. Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.
