- Cream together the margarine, eggs, sugar, and vanilla or lemon extract.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder.
- Sift again and gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed ingredients.
- Add milk gradually, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the golden raisins.
- Grease a Bundt cake pan very well and dust with flour all around.
- Shake out any excess flour from the pan.
- Pour the batter slowly into the prepared pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
- Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake to check for doneness.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes on a rack.
- Invert the pan to remove the cake and place it on a plate.
- Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar before serving.
