Ingredients

  • 6 oz. chocolate chips
  • 6 oz. butterscotch chips
  • 3 oz. can chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 3/4 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or lemon extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup golden raisins

Instructions

  1. Cream together the margarine, eggs, sugar, and vanilla or lemon extract.
  2. Sift the flour with the baking powder.
  3. Sift again and gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed ingredients.
  4. Add milk gradually, mixing until smooth.
  5. Stir in the golden raisins.
  6. Grease a Bundt cake pan very well and dust with flour all around.
  7. Shake out any excess flour from the pan.
  8. Pour the batter slowly into the prepared pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  10. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake to check for doneness.
  11. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes on a rack.
  12. Invert the pan to remove the cake and place it on a plate.
  13. Sprinkle the top with powdered sugar before serving.
