Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. lean ground pork
  • 3/4 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 5 ribs celery, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
  • 2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • red pepper to taste
  • chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground pork in a skillet for approximately 10 minutes.
  2. Add the lean ground beef to the skillet with the pork and cook for an additional 10 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onions and celery to the meat mixture and sauté for 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and chicken broth, then heat thoroughly.
  5. Check and adjust seasonings with salt, pepper, and red pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and fold in the crumbled cornbread.
  7. Add chopped green onions and fresh parsley before serving.
