Ingredients

  • 1 c. raw long grain rice
  • 1 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. dried green pepper flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. beef flavored bouillon
  • 1/2 tsp. dry shredded green onion
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. dry thyme
  • 1/8 tsp. red cayenne pepper
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. smoked sausage

Instructions

  1. Combine rice, dried onion flakes, dried green pepper flakes, dried parsley flakes, beef flavored bouillon, dry shredded green onion, black pepper, garlic powder, dry thyme, and red cayenne pepper with 2 cups water and tomato sauce in a Dutch oven.
  2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Stir in sliced smoked sausage and cook until the mixture is thoroughly heated.
