Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 (7 oz.) package flaked coconut
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F if using a glass dish).
  2. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, melt the margarine in the oven.
  3. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly over the melted margarine.
  4. Top evenly with flaked coconut, then pour the sweetened condensed milk over the layers.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
  6. In a small saucepan, over low heat, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips with the peanut butter.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture evenly over the hot coconut layer.
  8. Cool completely, then cut into bars and store at room temperature.
