Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna, drained
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can English peas
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes, cooked

Instructions

  1. Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add flour and stir until smooth.
  3. Slowly add 2 cups of milk, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook until mixture is bubbly, then reduce heat and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add salt, pepper, drained tuna, English peas, and chopped onions to the sauce.
  6. Continue cooking until onions soften.
  7. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  8. Top with 2 cups of cooked mashed potatoes and dot with butter.
  9. Bake at 450°F for 15 minutes or until the top is brown.
