Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Crisco
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 2 (10 oz.) packages frozen peas and carrots
  • quick biscuits
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded American cheese

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, melt the Crisco.
  2. Blend in the flour and onion salt.
  3. Stir in the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and milk.
  4. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
  5. Stir in the shredded American cheese until melted.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Stir in the cooked turkey and frozen peas and carrots.
  8. Divide the mixture into 2 casseroles.
  9. Cool quickly, then wrap and freeze.
  10. When ready to serve, place the frozen casserole into a preheated oven.
  11. Bake covered at 425°F for 1 hour.
  12. Stir occasionally during the last 20 minutes of baking.
  13. Prepare quick biscuits according to package instructions.
  14. Place the biscuits around the edge of the casserole.
  15. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until the biscuits are brown.
