- In a saucepan, melt the Crisco.
- Blend in the flour and onion salt.
- Stir in the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and milk.
- Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
- Stir in the shredded American cheese until melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in the cooked turkey and frozen peas and carrots.
- Divide the mixture into 2 casseroles.
- Cool quickly, then wrap and freeze.
- When ready to serve, place the frozen casserole into a preheated oven.
- Bake covered at 425°F for 1 hour.
- Stir occasionally during the last 20 minutes of baking.
- Prepare quick biscuits according to package instructions.
- Place the biscuits around the edge of the casserole.
- Bake uncovered for 15 minutes or until the biscuits are brown.
