Ingredients

  • 2 pie crusts
  • 3 cups boiled cut-up chicken or turkey
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery
  • a few onion flakes
  • 1/4 cup peas
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small can water chestnuts, sliced

Instructions

  1. Mix the boiled cut-up chicken or turkey, chopped celery, onion flakes, peas, mushroom soup, and sliced water chestnuts together in a bowl.
  2. Pour the mixture into one of the pie crusts placed in a pie dish.
  3. Place cheese slices and small pieces of butter over the mixture in the pie.
  4. Cover with the second pie crust and brush the top with egg whites.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
