Ingredients

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 2 cups diced cooked turkey
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. Cube 2 slices of bread and place in the bottom of an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine diced cooked turkey, chopped onions, green pepper, celery, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper; spoon over bread cubes.
  3. Trim crusts from remaining bread slices and arrange them over the turkey mixture.
  4. Beat eggs and mix with milk; pour evenly over all ingredients.
  5. Cover the dish and chill for 1 hour or overnight.
  6. Spoon condensed cream of mushroom soup over the top.
  7. Bake in a 325°F oven for about 1 hour or until set.
  8. Sprinkle shredded sharp processed cheese over the top during the last few minutes of baking.
