Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots
  • 6 large green tomatoes
  • 6 red bell peppers
  • 6 green bell peppers
  • 4 large onions
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • hot pepper to taste
  • 6 tsp. sugar
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard

Instructions

  1. Grind the vegetables with a coarse blade.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.
  3. Drain off the juice from the vegetables.
  4. Mix the drained vegetables with sugar, celery seed, prepared mustard, and vinegar.
  5. Put the mixture into jars and seal.
