Ingredients

  • 1 lb veal cutlets
  • 1/2 cup butter or oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 lb Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Dip veal cutlets in beaten eggs combined with salt and pepper, then in a mixture of Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs.
  2. Fry the breaded cutlets in butter or oil until brown, about 8 minutes per side.
  3. Place the fried cutlets in a baking dish, pour tomato sauce over them, and top with slices of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bake in a moderate oven for 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
