Ingredients

  • 2 packages frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheese
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Cook the frozen mixed vegetables in boiling water just until separated; drain.
  2. Combine milk, black pepper, grated sharp cheese, cream of mushroom soup, salt, minced onion, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Melt butter and stir in bread crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the vegetables in the casserole.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour until hot and bubbly, and bread crumbs are golden.
