Ingredients

  • 5 lb. lean ground beef
  • 9 large eggs
  • 4 c. bread crumbs (not seasoned)
  • 1 c. finely chopped parsley
  • 1 c. grated Italian cheese (Romano recommended)
  • 3 Tbsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 mashed garlic cloves
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • tomato paste or tomato puree

Instructions

  1. In a frying pan, sauté vegetable oil, garlic, and chopped onion until fragrant and translucent.
  2. Add tomato paste or tomato puree to the pan and simmer to develop flavors.
  3. Form meatballs from ground beef, bread crumbs, parsley, cheese, salt, eggs, and additional garlic if desired.
  4. Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer for about 30 minutes until cooked through and flavorful.
