Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup catsup
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 package dry onion soup
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk or water
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix well until thoroughly combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf shape.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 1 hour.
  5. Remove from oven and prepare the glaze by mixing 1 cup catsup and 1 tablespoon brown sugar.
  6. Pour the glaze over the meatloaf.
  7. Reduce oven temperature to 200°F.
  8. Bake for an additional 20 minutes.
