Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla in a mixer until light and fluffy.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. At low speed, gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in raisins and chopped walnuts.
  5. Drop by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
