Wayne'S Spaghetti Sauce

A hearty, flavorful spaghetti sauce with ground beef, fresh mushrooms, and Italian seasonings, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 small to medium onion
  • 1/2 bell pepper
  • mushrooms (amount as desired)
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can tomatoes or tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 shakes pepper flakes
  • 1/2 dozen shakes dehydrated garlic
  • 1/16 tsp celery seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp Louisiana hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Fry hamburger with chopped onion and bell pepper until cooked.
  2. Drain excess oil from the hamburger mixture.
  3. Clean and slice fresh mushrooms.
  4. Boil mushrooms in salted water until tender.
  5. Drain mushrooms, reserving about 1/3 cup of water.
  6. Add cooked hamburger mixture, tomato paste, and tomato sauce to a pot.
  7. Stir in Italian seasoning, pepper flakes, dehydrated garlic, celery seed, and hot sauce.
  8. Simmer the sauce for a while while boiling spaghetti.
