Ingredients

  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons beef bouillon granules
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 2 cans baked beans with molasses
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup prepared mustard
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper

Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven over medium heat, cook ground beef, chopped onion, and chopped celery until the meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender; drain excess fat.
  2. Dissolve beef bouillon granules in boiling water and stir into the beef mixture.
  3. Add the baked beans with molasses, ketchup, prepared mustard, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the beef mixture.
  4. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Cover the Dutch oven and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 60 to 70 minutes.
  6. Stir the mixture after baking.
  7. Top with cooked bacon before serving.
