Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using clarified butter instead of regular butter. You can also substitute the fresh Parmesan cheese with Pecorino Romano for a sharper taste. If you want to add a little spice, include some crushed red pepper flakes. Make sure to finely chop your fresh herbs to release their flavors fully. This recipe is versatile and can be adapted to fit various Mediterranean recipes.

Serving Suggestions

Slice the loaf and serve it warm as a delicious appetizer or main dish. It pairs well with a fresh side salad or a bowl of soup. For a complete meal, consider serving it alongside Layered Gazpacho Salad for a refreshing complement. Drizzle some extra olive oil on top before serving for added richness.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place slices in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10-15 minutes until warmed through. Alternatively, you can microwave individual slices for about 1-2 minutes, but be cautious as this may make the crust less crispy.
