Wild Rice Quiche

- Bake the unbaked pastry shell at 425°F for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside. Reduce oven temperature to 325°F.
- In a skillet, sauté Canadian bacon or ham and chopped onion in butter until the onion is tender. Spoon the mixture into the pastry shell.
- Sprinkle shredded Monterey Jack cheese and cooked wild rice over the sautéed mixture in the crust.
- In a small bowl, beat eggs, light cream, and salt together.
- Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients in the crust.
- Bake at 325°F for 35 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting. Garnish with snipped parsley if desired.
