Ingredients

  • 6 small squash
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter

Instructions

  1. Cook squash and onion in salted water; drain well.
  2. Mash the cooked squash and onion, then add mayonnaise, grated cheese, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Spoon the mixture into an oven-safe dish.
  4. Toss bread crumbs with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the top of the mixture.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.
