Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 1/2 slices bread, torn into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp mustard
  • green pepper (optional)
  • catsup
  • barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together well.
  2. Add enough catsup to darken the meat mixture.
  3. Mix again and shape into a loaf.
  4. Cover the center of the loaf with barbecue sauce.
  5. Around the edge of the loaf, spread catsup.
  6. Swirl the barbecue sauce and catsup together using a knife, covering the top of the loaf.
  7. Bake for 1 hour at 350°F.
