Tips & Substitutions

For added flavor, consider seasoning the pork with your favorite spices before cooking. If you don't have Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce can be a good substitute. To make the sauce even zippier, add a dash of hot sauce or smoked paprika. You can also use leftover pulled pork from other recipes like Sloppy Ham Sandwich for a quick meal.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the pork barbecue on soft buns for a delicious sandwich that pairs well with coleslaw or potato salad. For a heartier meal, consider adding a side of baked beans or corn on the cob. This dish also goes well with Doris' Seven-Layered Salad for a refreshing contrast.

Leftover Zippy Pork Barbecue can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it gently on the stove over low heat or in the microwave until heated through. If the sauce thickens, add a splash of broth or water while reheating.
