- Mix eggs, sugar, buttermilk and butter together.
- Add soda and spices.
- Add flour; mix well.
- Add raisins, fruit and nuts.
- Put into four 9-inch round pans (greased and floured lightly).
- Bake slowly at 275° until fluffy.
