Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. oleo
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 c. oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c. rice krispies
  • 1 c. oatmeal
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 1/2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Blend sugars and oleo together.
  2. Cream the mixture well.
  3. Add oil, egg, and vanilla to the creamed mixture and mix thoroughly.
  4. Sift dry ingredients together and gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in rice krispies, oatmeal, and coconut.
  6. Chill the dough for about 1 hour.
  7. Shape the chilled dough into balls and flatten with a glass dipped in sugar before baking.
