Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 (7 oz) package spaghetti
  • 4 cups tomato juice
  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 1 small can mushrooms (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain off the grease.
  2. Place the cooked meat in a 10 x 13-inch pan and add chopped onion, green pepper, and margarine.
  3. Break up uncooked spaghetti into the meat mixture.
  4. Pour tomato juice and tomato paste over the mixture.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes, stirring three times during cooking.
  6. Optional: add cheese on top and bake a little longer before serving.
