Ingredients

  • 17 oz. can cream-style corn
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cream-style corn and sugars.
  2. Add eggs and vegetable oil; beat until well blended.
  3. Combine baking powder, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and all-purpose flour; add to batter and mix well.
  4. Stir in raisins and chopped nuts.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool thoroughly.
  8. Frost with caramel frosting.
