Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using ground chuck instead of regular ground beef. You can also substitute the macaroni with any pasta of your choice. If you're looking for a vegetarian option, try replacing the beef with lentils or a plant-based meat alternative. Adjust the chili powder to your heat preference, as Texas style can vary significantly in spiciness.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the chili hot, garnished with shredded cheese, chopped green onions, or a dollop of sour cream for added creaminess. It pairs beautifully with cornbread or crusty bread. For a complete meal, consider serving alongside a fresh salad or browsing more American recipes that complement this dish.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover chili can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, simply microwave in a microwave-safe bowl or warm on the stovetop over medium heat, stirring occasionally. If the chili thickens too much, add a splash of water or additional tomato sauce to reach your desired consistency.
