Ingredients
- 2 cups fruit ⓘ
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice ⓘ
- 1/2 cup sugar ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch ⓘ
- 1-1/2 cups all purpose flour ⓘ
- 1/2 cup sugar ⓘ
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon ⓘ
- 1/8 teaspoon ground mace ⓘ
- 1/2 cup margarine ⓘ
- 1 slightly beaten egg ⓘ
- 1/2 cup milk ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla ⓘ
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine fruit and 1/2 cup water.
- Simmer, covered, for 5 minutes or until fruit is tender.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Mix 1/2 cup sugar with cornstarch; stir into fruit mixture.
- Cook and stir until thickened.
- Cool before serving.
